Teen facing charges for stunt driving

A 17-year-old from Harrow is facing stunt driving charges after the LaSalle Police Service caught a driver going more than double the posted speed limit.

On Wednesday, a LaSalle police officer caught the teen in a Dodge Journey going 126 km/hr on Disputed Road.

The driver was stopped and charged with stunt driving. The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

If convicted, the driver could face a fine of $2,000 and their licence could be suspended for up to two years.

The LaSalle Police Service is reminding drivers to slow down and follow posted speed limits.
