A 24-year-old from Essex is facing careless driving charges after a cube van crashed into a home in Lakeshore Monday morning.
The initial crash, which involved two vehicles, happened around 7 a.m. on County Road 46 between Pleasant Park Sideroad and Cty 25. After the two vehicles collided, one slammed into the house. The road was closed for a short time while the Ontario Provincial Police investigated and the road was cleared.
The homeowner was home at the time of the collision, however there were no injuries reported. There was extensive damage to the home.
The second vehicle involved in the crash also had minor damage.
