Drugs and guns seized from east-end home

Multiple people are facing charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Enforcement Unit.

During the course of the investigation, police identified a suspect and a residence on Pillette Road believed to be involved in the suspected trafficking of illicit drugs.

On Thursday, police executed a search warrant at the residence. Several people located inside the home were arrested without incident.

Officers seized two loaded handguns, a rifle, a pellet gun, a number of illicit drugs, and a quantity of currency during their search.

A 52-year-old man from Windsor is facing several gun and drug-related charges including possession of a prohibited firearm, and possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

A 22-year-old was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was charged with a number of gun and drug-related charges in connection to the investigation.

A 27-year-old woman found inside the home is also facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Finally, a 52-year-old found inside the home was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The charges have not been proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
