Town of Essex to shift some service locations Monday

The Town of Essex wants to remind residents of a few service changes that take effect Monday.

To streamline the concept of providing development-related services to residents, the Town has moved its Developmental Services Department from Town Hall in Essex Centre to the Gesto office at 2610 County Road 12.

The Developmental Services Department consists of the building services division, by-law enforcement, the planning services division, and the economic development office.

Also, the Public Works and Drainage Departments will move from the Gesto office to Town Hall, thus placing all infrastructure-related divisions under one roof. Those consist of Capital Works and Infrastructure, Drainage Services, Environmental Services, and Operations.

Complete information on what is being offered in each division, and where, can be found on the Town's official website.
