Parent Avenue fire causes $250K in damage

Windsor police are now looking into an early morning house fire that caused extensive damage.

Windsor Fire and Rescue said crews were called shortly before 2 a.m. Monday to the fire on Parent Avenue near Assumption Street.

Few details have been released, but the fire was declared out shortly after 7:30 a.m. and an investigator was on scene.

Fire investigators later tweeted that the fire caused about $250,000 in damage, but the cause was still being looked into and the scene was turned over to police.

No injuries were reported and nobody was displaced.
