Windsor police say a target unit base officer responded to an alarm call shortly after midnight to the business on Wyandotte Street East at Strabane Avenue. When the officer arrived, they spotted the suspect outside the gas bar's front entrance trying to get inside.

The 42-year-old man was arrested immediately and without incident.
