Porsche stolen in Windsor recovered

Windsor police are still looking for two people who allegedly carjacked a sports car last week.

The vehicle, a 2021 Porsche Taycan was recovered on Friday in another jurisdiction, according to Constable Darius Goze.

The two men suspected in the carjacking are still at large. Surveillance cameras captured the incident in a parking lot on Division Road at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The first suspect is described as a male, wearing all black clothing, a black hat, a black mask, and holding a firearm. The second male suspect was also wearing dark clothes.

Investigators believe that the suspects may have ties to organized crime groups that are responsible for thefts of high-end vehicles. Reports of similar incidents have been made in other jurisdictions.

Police would like to thank the public and the media for their help in recovering the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing. If you know who the suspects are or if you see them, do not approach them yourself as they are considered armed and dangerous. Call 911 immediately.
