Contract talks start soon for Caesars Windsor workers

Following a tough two years, contract negotiations start this week between Unifor Local 444 and Caesars Windsor.

The union represents 1,800 members at the casino. Many have been off the job more than not over the past 23 months because of COVID-19 restrictions. Caesars Windsor hasn't operated at full capacity since March 2020, and many employees are no longer eligible for financial assistance.

The current contract expires on April 2.

Talks start on Friday.
