Police release update on Huron Church Road closing (MAP)

Windsor police have reopened a key intersection to allow traffic to cross the still-restricted Huron Church Road.

On Wednesday afternoon, police announced the reopening of Huron Church Road at Industrial Boulevard and Northwood Street to eastbound and westbound traffic. The intersection is also open for southbound access to Huron Church Road only, allowing easy access to the E.C. Row Expressway.

Drivers will still not be allowed to turn left from Industrial Boulevard onto Huron Church Road, or turn right from Northwood Street.

Huron Church Road in both directions remains closed except for northbound traffic headed to the Ambassador Bridge for crossing to the U.S.

Patricia Road, off College Avenue, is for truck access to the bridge only.

The northbound exits off E.C. Row to Huron Church Road are also open, but for bridge-bound traffic only.

The restrictions on Huron Church Road will remain in place until further notice after police provided an update on the situation Wednesday afternoon.
