Charges laid in Windsor attempted murder probe

Windsor police have arrested two people in connection with a stabbing last week.

Officers were called at around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 12, to Randolph Avenue and Wyandotte Street West. A person with multiple stab wounds was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators in the Major Crime Unit obtained descriptions of two suspects who had fled westbound on Wyandotte West in a Chevrolet Malibu.

One of the suspects was located in Harrow on Tuesday, the other in Windsor on Wednesday.

A 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Windsor, were charged with attempted murder. The charge has not been proven in court.

Police believe this was a targeted incident as the victim and suspects knew each other.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information, or security camera footage to share from the area, is asked to call Windsor police at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
