Windsor police investigating shooting

The Windsor Police Service is investigating a shooting on the city's west side on Saturday.

Around 11:30 p.m., patrol officers were called to St. Joseph Street after residents reported several gunshots were heard after an argument between a group of males broke out.

When officers arrived, they found spent shell casings and other evidence related to the shooting.

Around 2 a.m,. an adult man went to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The Major Crime Unit is asking anyone in the area of St. Joseph and Baby Streets with surveillance cameras, or anyone with dashcams, to check their footage for possible evidence between the time of 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe that the parties involved are known to each other and that this was an isolated incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
