Windsor Police investigate after vehicle hits Shoppers Drug Mart

Police are still investigating after a vehicle crashed through the front window of a Shoppers Drug Mart in Windsor on Wednesday night.

The crash on Wyandotte Street East at Dawson Road involved two vehicles around 10:30 p.m.  One of the vehicles then struck the store.

Photos on social media show severe damage inside the store.

Windsor Police said one person, an occupant in one of the vehicles, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, there is no word on charges.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
