Three cited after skateboarding stunt in Leamington

Ontario Provincial Police have made an example out of three people involved in a weekend stunt.

Police say officers were called Sunday to Erie Street South and Robson Road in Leamington for a report of unsafe driving. A white BMW was seen driving on the road, towing two people on skateboards behind its.

The driver and skateboarders were ticketed.

"We will continue to dedicate our traffic resources in areas of concern within the town of Leamington," said OPP Leamington Detachment Operations Manager Staff Sergeant Pat Lenehan. "Traffic safety for all on our roadways is a priority in our town and in Essex County. We will continue to work with our town partners on long-term traffic solutions."

No injuries were reported.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
