UPDATE: Police investigating a homicide in LaSalle

The LaSalle Police Service alongside the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a murder at a residence on Sugarwood Crescent.

Police said they were called to the home just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday to check on the well-being of the occupants.

Officers report that when they arrived at the scene they found 34-year-old Amanda Lyons dead inside the residence.

The investigation has led police to suspect the victim's husband, Blair Lyons, in the case.

Police said that Lyons' vehicle was found abandoned on the Ambassador Bridge on Saturday with evidence that he may have jumped into the river.

Search and rescue teams have not located the 34-year-old man in the water and his whereabouts are unknown.

Police have asked that everyone avoid the area as the investigation is ongoing and that everyone respects the family's privacy during this time.

Police also reassured that there is no threat to public safety at this time.

Blair Lyons is described as a white male with short dark brown hair, short dark brown facial hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left shoulder.

If anyone sees Blair Lyons, or has any other information, they are asked to contact the LaSalle Police Service at 519-969-5210 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
