Leamington to test alerts notification system

If you signed up for the Leamington Alerts system, expect a notification on Monday morning.

The municipality is testing the system at 11 a.m.

The system allows it to notify residents and businesses if there's an emergency like a gas leak, a boil water advisory, police action, or if an evacuation is underway.

If you have registered with the system or have a publicly listed phone number you will receive a call, SMS text message or an email. If you don't respond, you'll have a voicemail message or missed call notification from 519-325-5959.

If there is a real emergency, the message will contain instructions.

If you have a question about the system, want to register, or need to change your contact information, call Leamington Fire Services at 519-326-6291 ext. 3249.
