Man charged after hit and run

A Windsor man is facing charges after a hit and run on Friday afternoon.

A pedestrian was struck in the area of McDougall Street and Tecumseh Road East around 4:30 p.m. She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police obtained the make, model, and license plate of the vehicle that left the scene before they arrived.

Officers found a suspect on Saturday afternoon. A 25-year-old was charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.

The Windsor Police Service is requesting anyone with a surveillance camera in the area of Windsor Avenue, between Tecumseh Road East and Giles Boulevard East, to check their footage for possible evidence.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
