WECHU offering in-person food handling certification

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is offering in-person food handler certification exams again.

The in-person certification was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic.

There are three in-person exam days scheduled starting Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Each exam can safely accommodate up to 40 people.

Individuals interested in becoming a certified food handler must complete the free 7-hour online course before taking the in-person exam.

The certification supports individuals seeing employment in the food sector.

To register for the exam or find information visit the health unit's website.
