Windsor man takes $50K prize with Keno

Some sleight-of-hand with picking numbers brought a big payday to a Windsor man.

Kevin Wu put down $2 on the March 5 Daily Keno 8 Pick. He matched eight of the 20 numbers drawn that evening and won a $50,000 prize.

Wu picked up his cheque this week at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Prize Centre in Toronto.

He bought his winning ticket at a Rexall Drug Store on Howard Street in Windsor.

With the Daily Keno game, players pick a number strategy by going anywhere from picking two numbers to ten numbers on a bet, then betting anywhere from $1 to $10 per play. Prizes range from $7 for matching two numbers on a $1 bet, to a whopping $2.5-million for matching ten numbers on a $10 wager.

It was not immediately known what Wu plans to do with his winnings.
