Man arrested after string of commercial break-ins

A Windsor man has been arrested and charged after a string of break-ins throughout the city.

On Wednesday, investigators from the Windsor Police Service Target Base Unit identified a suspect in surveillance video footage from a break and enter at a business that happened on Monday.

Investigators say the same suspect can be linked to seven other commercial break-ins between March 14 and April 12. They all happened at local businesses in the early morning hours.

A 35-year-old Windsor man is facing several charges for the break-ins, including possessing property obtained by crime.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
