WPL promotes tool lending library

The Windsor Public Library is reminding residents they have more than books available for borrowing.

The tool lending library is available at three branches. Tools like cordless drills, mini-circular saws, and other hand tools can be checked out just like books.

Tools are housed at Forest Glade, Muir, and Seminole branches and must be checked out and returned to their home location.

The library also has a database highlighting DIY resources. The resources will help residents save time and money and provide detailed instructions and tips on all manner of home projects.

“These education and entertainment options are unavailable elsewhere free-of-charge and provide a fabulous opportunity to build a strong connection with our customers,” says WPL CEO Kitty Pope. “We want super busy parents to choose WPL as their primary destination for movies and we want seniors to know we have an extensive collection of newspapers and magazines for them, all free, to access from home.”
