Police investigating stabbing

The Windsor Police Service is investigating after a person was stabbed in the city's core Saturday evening.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Parent Avenue near Ellis Street.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

According to police, a young offender has been arrested without incident.

There is a police presence in connection to the incident on Giles Boulevard near Elsmere Avenue.

Investigators with the major crimes unit are asking residents in the area with video surveillance to check their footage for any evidence.

No further information has been released.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
