Officers arrived in the area of Tecumseh Road East and McDougall Street at around 6:30 p.m. The complaint involved a man riding a bicycle who was allegedly concealing a firearm and a knife.

Constable Darius Goze said a description was obtained, and almost immediately, officers spotted a suspect travelling northbound on McDougall. He was arrested without incident.

Several weapons were seized from the man, including a replica pellet handgun, a knife, a collapsible baton, a flashlight Taser, several axes, and a slingshot. Police also confiscated an unspecified quantity of fentanyl.

The 40-year-old man is charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of a flashlight Taser without authority, failure to comply with a court order, and four counts of possessing a firearm while prohibited.
