City preparing to reopen sports fields

Next Saturday, the City of Windsor will open its baseball diamonds.

Sports fields are closed in April because of the usual rainfall that month.

The city said it would open the baseball diamonds on May 7 and all sports fields on May 14.

The public is asked to stay off the fields and diamonds until they open so the turf can mature.

Anyone caught on the fields when they are closed could be fined.
