LaSalle dog park opens Monday

LaSalle residents have a new place to let their four-legged friends roam off-leash.

The Town of LaSalle is opening a new dog park on Monday just south of the LaSalle Public Works Department on Judy Recker Crescent.

Work on the park wrapped up last fall, but the town needed to give the grass time to grow.

Councillors approved the LaSalle Dog Park last June, and construction started soon after.

It is separated into two areas, one for large dogs and the other for those under 25 lbs. There is a water station on-site for dogs that need a drink.

The park is unsupervised and is open during daylight hours.
