Police looking for information on firearms

Investigators with the Windsor Police Service are looking for information about two distinct firearms seized during an investigation this month.

The Drugs and Guns Unit identified a suspect, vehicle, and residence as part of the investigation.

The suspect was arrested and found with some illicit drugs and a conducted energy weapon. The vehicle was also located and seized.

Officers searched the residence and found two rifles, ammunition and more illicit drugs. The firearms are described as Remington 700 Ultimate ML 50 calibre rifles. Anyone with information about these firearms is encouraged to contact investigators.

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, fentanyl, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a prohibited firearm, contravening the firearms act, and possession of ammunition.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
