National beer honours bestowed on Walkerville Brewery

A Windsor-Essex craft brewery continues to rack up national honours for its products.

Walkerville Brewery in Windsor picked up two silver medals at this year's Canadian Brewery Awards, held last week in Calgary.

The Geronimo IPA collected the second prize in the English-Style India Pale Ale category, and the Russian Imperial collected silver in the Imperial Stout category.

It was the third CBA medal for the Geronimo IPA and the second for the Imperial Stout.

"Another great result for Walkerville Brewery. We are obviously very proud of these awards and the fantastic work of our brewing staff in winning them," said Walkerville Brewery partner Ian Gourlay.

Prizes were given out to breweries from all over Canada in 58 different categories.
