New Blue leader coming to Essex

The leader of the New Blue Party will visit Windsor area on Friday night.

Jim Karahalios will be at the McGregor Community Centre with local candidates Danielle Sylvester for Essex, Sophia Sevo Windsor-Tecumseh, and Joshua Griffin for Windsor-West.

If elected, the New Blue party says it will cut HST from 13% to 10%, cut the carbon tax, and reform education by introducing alternative schooling tax credits and removing critical race theory and gender identity theory from schools.

The event in McGregor is from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

The provincial election is on June 2.  Advanced polling has already started.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
