Trail sponsored by community partner

Motor City Community Credit Union is sponsoring the maintenance of an east end trail for the next five years.

"At Motor City we're committed to financial health, financial well-being, that's what we do. But this is for physical health, physical well-being and it's an important part of the community," said Motor City Community Credit Union CEO Robert Griffith

The company has pledged $25,000 for the upkeep of the the Clairview Bikeway, the trail that connects the Ganatchio Trail to Wyandotte Street.

"The sponsorship funding will help to maintain the trail, that will be continuous crack sealing, any patching any sort of maintenance work," said James Chacko, executive director of parks and facilities with the City of Windsor. "Certainly that helps to maintain this 2.1 km stretch up to the city standards."

Signs have been put up on Wyandotte Street and along Riverside Drive that announce the sponsorship.
