Lakeshore launches summer concert series

The Municipality of Lakeshore hopes a brand-new slate of concerts will encourage people to come out and enjoy its parks.

It's launching the Summer Parks Concert Series most Friday nights this summer, starting in Lakeview Park on Friday, June 3.

Midlife Jazz will kick off the series starting at 7 p.m.

The event is free, but residents need to bring their own chairs, blankets, and bug spray.

"We're happy to give our community members and visitors yet another reason to enjoy our beautiful parks," said Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain. "This series will make for a summer full of family-friendly fun in parks and communities throughout Lakeshore."

The full list of concerts is listed on Lakeshore's webpage and the final event scheduled is on August 26 with Leave Those Kids Alone in Lakeview Park.
