Over 13,000 students with out-of-date vaccine records

The vaccine records of over 13,000 Windsor-area secondary school students are out of date.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit says if the students do not receive their vaccines and have their records updated before September, they could face suspension.

It's believed most students have received their vaccines and just haven't updated their records.

"It's not unanticipated that we would have a number of students who are out of date recognizing the access issues over the course of the pandemic as well as the diverted attention towards COVID-19 over the past few years," said CEO Nicole Dupuis.

Records can be updated online through WECHU's website.
