UPDATE: No charges after child hit by vehicle

Windsor Police will not charge the driver of a vehicle that struck a child in the city on Wednesday.

Police said the child was on Gladstone Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when he ran into the road.

The driver did not have time to stop.

The child suffered serious injuries that are not life-threatening.

He is currently at Children's Hospital in London.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
