Leamington unveils Canada Day celebration plans

If you're looking for a spot to watch fireworks on Canada Day, Leamington is hosting a display on the shore of Lake Erie.

Fireworks will be launched from a barge in Lake Erie starting at 10 p.m.

The municipality invites the public to bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Food and drinks will be available at the Kinsmen Kanteen.

Before that, Leamington's SUNSET Amphitheatre will set the stage for two concerts starting with Leave Those Kids Alone at 7:30 p.m. An hour later, Mary Newland and The Blue Bayou Band will perform.

The event is free.

Leamington Transit is extending its hours of operation that night until 11 p.m. for those who park away from the waterfront.
