Erie Shores Health Foundation Gala raises $331,000

The proceeds have been counted, and the Erie Shores Health Foundation said it raised over $331,000 at its GALA26 last weekend at the Roma Club in Leamington.

The event was sold out.

The foundation raises money for Erie Shores Healthcare and Hospice Erie Shores in Essex County. The Ministry of Health does not cover all the costs at the Hospice, so fundraisers like the gala are essential.

"In addition to raising enormous support for the hospital, the evening celebrated long-awaited fellowship and connections among our community," said CEO Christine Colautti.

Leamington artist Julie Amlin provided the evening's highlight when she painted a work of art on stage, which was later auctioned off. Many of her pieces were displayed throughout the venue.
