Police seize over $35,000 of illicit drugs

A Windsor man is facing drug possession charges after police discovered a stolen vehicle during an investigation.

On Wednesday, police observed a newer model Honda SUV on the city's east end. Officers discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in London, Ontario. Police obtained surveillance images and identified a suspect.

On Thursday, police located the suspect on Meadowbrook Lane, where he was arrested.

Officers seized about $35,000 worth of illicit drugs and currency from the suspect. The man had crystal methamphetamine, blue fentanyl, green fentanyl, pink fentanyl, cocaine, and hydromorphone.

A 36-year-old man is facing charges of possession of stolen property, possession of a substance for trafficking, possession of an I.D. of another person, and breach of probation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
