Man with taser facing charges

A Windsor man is facing a slew of charges after police received a tip over the weekend.

Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called to Glengarry Avenue for a report of a man with a taser.

Police were given a description of the suspect and found a man in possession of a taser.

Police quickly arrested the suspect without incident. The officers seized fentanyl, cash, pepper spray, and other drug paraphernalia from the suspect.

The 38-year-old was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a scheduled substance, and possession of a weapon while prohibited.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
