Careless smoking blamed for fire that displaced two

Fire officials in Windsor blame careless smoking for a fire at an apartment building in the east end of the city earlier this week.

Firefighters were called to the building on Wyandotte Street East near Westchester Drive on Wednesday.

The fire was out an hour later, but it still caused $450,000 damage.

No one was hurt but two people were displaced.
