Driver charged in hit and run

A driver from Essex has been charged in a hit and run that seriously injured a cyclist in Windsor over the weekend.

The collision happened at the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Shepherd Street around 5:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

Investigators identified a vehicle and driver and an arrest was made on Tuesday.

A 33-year-old man is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
