Police investigate arson in Amherstburg

Windsor police say several vehicles were damaged after an apparent arson in Amherstburg late Tuesday night.

Between approximately 11:10 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. August 16,  investigators say a vehicle was set ablaze at a commercial property on Smith Industrial Drive off of Howard Avenue. Multiple vehicles sustained fire damage during the incident, however no injuries were reported.

Police say the incident was determined to be an arson. Video surveillance showed a black Cadillac Escalade in the area around the time of when the fire began and police are considering it to be a suspect vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
