Construction starting on popular bike trail

Construction is starting this week on a popular trail in the Devonshire Heights area.

The City of Windsor Parks Department will be replacing the existing asphalt on the Walker Homesite Bike trail. The trail runs from Seymour Boulevard to Calderwood Avenue. Access to the multi-use trail will be limited and possibly closed at times.

The last phase of the replacement will happen at the Walker Homesite Park. This work will take place at the south end of the park.

The playground will be closed during daytime construction but will be accessible in the evenings. Baseball facilities in the park will not be affected by the construction.

Construction is expected to be completed by November.
