Police arrest knife wielding man

The Windsor Police Service has arrested and charged a man who was allegedly waving a knife in downtown Windsor Monday.

Officers were called to the area of Ouellette Avenue and Park Street around 8 a.m.

In a news release, Constable Bianca Jackson said officers located the man who cooperated with the police and was quickly arrested without incident. There were no reported physical injuries in the incident.

A 38-year-old man has been charged with carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace.

Anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident or have surveillance footage is encouraged to contact the police. Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
