Three arrests made in Windsor assaults that surfaced on social media

Windsor police say they have arrested three suspects in connection with a pair of assaults that were posted online.

Investigators were made aware on Monday of two incidents where suspects appeared to target victims who were alone. Each attack was recorded, then posted on social media. Both took place in downtown Windsor in the early morning hours of Saturday, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Three of the assault suspects have been charged. Two adult males were arrested on Tuesday. A third person, a youth, was picked up on Wednesday morning.

All three males are charged with robbery and aggravated assault and were expected to appear in a Windsor court Wednesday. The suspects have not been publicly identified.

Police say there are still outstanding suspects, and the Major Crime Unit is looking to identify them. Anyone who recognizes the people shown in the videos, or has footage of their own to share, should contact investigators.
