UPDATE: Life-threatening injuries in industrial accident in Windsor

The Ministry of Labour is investigating a workplace accident on Meighen Road on Thursday.

Windsor Police officers were called to Xact Pattern and Fixture, located behind Central Park Athletics, at around 3:30 p.m. after a worker suffered life-threatening injuries.

The worker was rushed to the hospital with no word on their current condition.

Ministry spokesperson Anu Dhar told WindsorNewsToday.ca that an inspector has been assigned to the case and has visited the workplace. One requirement has been issued to the employer.

There are several industrial workplaces on Meighen Road. Xact Pattern and Fixture is a supplier to the automotive industry, according to the company website, manufacturing styrofoam patterns and models.

The investigation is ongoing.
