Suspect sought after random attack in downtown Windsor

Windsor police are looking for a man who is alleged to have attacked another person in the downtown area.

Police said they were called to the area of Park Street West and Pelissier Street around 11 a.m. Saturday morning after reports of a person being assaulted.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30-35 years of age, with dark brown hair and beard, shirtless, wearing dark pants, white shoes, and carrying a black drawstring backpack with a large Nike logo on the back.

Police are urging the public to not approach the man and to call 911.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
