Arson investigation opened into Windsor house fire

Windsor police are looking into a weekend house fire deemed suspicious.

Crews from Windsor Fire and Rescue were called to a home on Bernard Road near Guy Street at around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators soon determined the fire was set on purpose, and an arson inquiry was started, according to Constable Bianca Jackson.

There were no injuries in the fire. A damage estimate was not readily available.

Anyone with information, or with security camera footage to share from between Saturday night and 8 a.m. Sunday, should call Windsor police's arson unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4330. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
