Police looking for assault suspect

Police are looking for a suspect after a man was assaulted by a stranger last week.

Around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, a man reported he was approached by an individual who began a verbal argument with him. The man then assaulted the victim with a bag of goods. The suspect was not known to the victim.

It happened at a convenience store on Wyandotte Street East near Langlois Avenue.

The victim sustained an injury and was seen by EMS but did not require transportation to the hospital.

The suspect is described as a man with a scruffy beard, and shaved head who was wearing a red t-shirt with a 'Toronto Raptors' emblem on the front, light-coloured shorts, and black running shoes at the time of the incident.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
