Advanced voting in Windsor this week

Municipal Election Day is not until October 24, but advanced voting days start this week in Windsor.

The first advanced voting day is Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The City of Windsor is also offering drive-thru voting at some of its advanced polling stations this year. At these locations, people will be able to vote from the comfort of their cars.

A full list of times and locations can be found on the city's website.

All voters in the city can attend any of the advanced voting days. People are asked to bring their voter notification cards however it is not required to vote.

Public transit is free for anyone wishing to attend a polling station. Residents are asked to present their voter cards to the driver on their way to or from the polling stations.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
