Man wanted for attempted murder

The Windsor Police Service has issued an arrest warrant after a man was stabbed at a grocery store earlier this month.

On September 4, 2022, police were called to a grocery store on Crawford Avenue after a man was stabbed. The victim was found and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officials say officers learned the victim and a suspect were involved in an altercation earlier in the day and that the attack appears to be targeted.

Gong Dao Yao, 52, is wanted for attempted murder and assault with a weapon in connection with the incident. He is known to spend time in the Greater Toronto Area.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If he is seen, people are advised to contact the police immediately.
