Tecumseh prepares to start Snow and Leaf Angels Program

If you have a high school student at home who needs volunteer hours for graduation, the Town of Tecumseh can help.

It is looking for volunteers for its Snow and Leaf Angels Program, which starts on October 31. While it welcomes high school students, anyone can be an angel.

Volunteers are matched with seniors and those living in the community with disabilities. They clear snow and leaves from town sidewalks and driveways for those in need.

Last year's program had 37 volunteers who helped more than 50 residents.

Those who wish to help can visit the Snow and Leaf Angels page on the town's website or call Tecumseh Arena at 519-735-4756 ext. 0. Seniors and those with disabilities who need help clearing sidewalks and driveways need to register in advance by contacting the town or filling out the form online.
