Fire closes stretch of Wyandotte in downtown Windsor

A structure fire in downtown Windsor Friday night led police to close the area while crews work to get the blaze under control.

The fire broke out at a multi-unit building on Wyandotte Street East near Pierre Avenue some time before 8 p.m.

Windsor police tweeted that officers are assisting with a road closure, closing Wyandotte between Pierre and Marion avenues. The public is asked to avoid the are
