Fewer eligible voters in Windsor-Essex cast their ballot in this year's election.
In Windsor, only 31.57 per cent of people made it to the ballot box. In 2018, the voter turnout was 35.21 per cent, and in 2014 37.46 per cent.
A few more residents came out in some of the surrounding communities.
On Pelee Island, where there are only 555 eligible voters, 58.4 per cent cast a ballot.
In Kingsville, voter turnout was 48.89 per cent.
The Town of Essex had 40.95 per cent of eligible voters at the polls.
The voter turnout for the Town of Amherstburg was 39 per cent.
The voter turnout in LaSalle was 30.13 per cent. The mayor and deputy mayor of the municipality were acclaimed before election day.
The Municipality of Lakeshore had a 30.09 per cent voter turnout.
The municipality in the region with the lowest turnout was Tecumseh with only 28.27 per cent votes. However, many of the council positions, including the mayor and deputy mayor, were acclaimed before the election.
